Position Overview
​
Our client seeks a visionary and operationally excellent Chief Product Officer to lead the full lifecycle of our product portfolio. The CPO will serve as the architect of product strategy, bridging market insight with engineering execution to deliver differentiated solutions that drive revenue growth and customer success.
Two critical mandates for this role are the ownership, evolution, and consistent execution of the company's Product Operating Model — our structured framework that defines how we discover, define, develop, and deliver products at scale. The CPO will champion this model across the organization, ensuring alignment between product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams at every stage of the product lifecycle. The other mandate is for the CPO to have demonstrated success being a bridge builder using influence, collaboration and vision to align the company.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision
Define and champion a multi-year product solution vision aligned with mission,market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
Translate strategic goals into a prioritized product roadmap that balances near-termcustomer value with long-term platform differentiation.
Serve as an authoritative voice of the customer, synthesizing input from sales, customer success, field teams, market research and direct customer engagement.
Lead market intelligence efforts to identify emerging trends in enterprise mobility, IoT,unified communications, healthcare and frontline worker technology.
Product Operating Model Leadership
Own and continuously improve the Product Operating Model — the company’s defined framework for how products and services are ideated, prioritized, built, launched, and measured.
Establish standardized processes for portfolio governance, investment allocation, stage-gate reviews, and cross-functional accountability within the model.
Lead quarterly business reviews and roadmap forums anchored to the cadence and rituals defined in the Product Operating Model.
Use model-driven metrics — including time-to-market, feature adoption, NPS, and revenue and margin attribution — to assess and improve product performance.
Product Development & Execution
Partner closely with the CTO to ensure seamless handoffs between product definition and development within the operating model framework. Ensure strong alignment with the CPO defining the Why and What of the product portfolio and the CTO defining the How
Drive agile product development practices, release planning, and go-to-market execution in close collaboration with marketing, sales, engineering and operations.
Oversee product design and UX strategy, ensuring hardware and software experiences meet the high standards of frontline enterprise environments.
Manage and grow a high-performing team of product managers, product designers, and business analysts.
Commercial & Go-to-Market Alignment
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to define pricing strategies, packaging, and positioning for new and existing products.
Act as a key executive sponsor for strategic customer engagements, supporting pre-sales, pilot programs, and enterprise deals.
You will own the Product P&L and will partner with Finance on product P&L management, ensuring product investments deliver measurable ROI.
Leadership & Culture
Build and inspire a product organization that is customer-obsessed, data-informed grounded in a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
Represent the product function in executive leadership discussions, Board presentations, and external industry forums.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships to break down silos and ensure the product team is a trusted partner across the business.
Qualifications
Required
15+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 8 years in a senior product leadership role (VP, SVP, CPO, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or scaling a Product Operating Model within a mid-market or enterprise technology company.
Proven track record of bringing hardware and/or SaaS products from concept to commercialization in B2B markets.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at Board level and with major enterprise customers.
Deep understanding of agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and portfolio prioritization frameworks.
Experience operating in hardware, or hardware-adjacent businesses, IoT, communications technology, or enterprise software preferred.
Preferred
Experience in vertical markets such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, or logistics.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
Familiarity with DORA metrics, OKRs, and outcome-based product management practices.
Track record of driving product-led growth (PLG) motions or cloud platform transitions.
Familiarity with Confluence, Jira and Aha! a plus
